Biography

Welcome to my studio. I am a London-based painter and St Martin’s School of Art alumna specializing in expressive landscapes and atmospheric cityscapes.

Artistic Practice & Method

My practice is rooted in a lifelong dedication and passion in observation, drawing, and capturing the physical world in paint. Operating entirely as an independent artist, I manage every stage of my work directly from my easel to the final presentation. I do not paint to a formula or a rigid system. Instead, I use the physical subject before me as a stepping stone to find an honest, emotional, and personal response to shapes, tones, and light. Every single painting I produce is entirely individual. I do not create reproduction prints or multiples; each piece is an exclusive, one-of-a-kind original.

The moving magic of urban rhythms and landscapes dictate my focus, capturing how they constantly shift under changing light. My creative process begins on location; I take my sketchbook everywhere, developing a visual shorthand of mark-making through rapid drawing. Back in the studio, I often map out my compositions with a preliminary drawing to establish core structural shapes before moving directly into paint. Working primarily in the studio, I employ an expressive, wet-into-wet technique using large brushes. I utilize fluid mixes of alkyd mediums alongside broad, gestural brushwork, precision ridge textures, and spontaneous finger-blends. This approach allows me to hunt for pure architectural mass and cinematic energy rather than illustrative perfection.

Deeply inspired by the heavy, expressive British lineage of the Borough Group and David Bomberg, as well as the atmospheric luminosity of Whistler’s Nocturnes and Monet, I strive for a final image that retains freshness, spontaneity, and an evolving life of its own.

For Art Collectors

Discover original, one-of-a-kind oil paintings, intimate studies, and fresh work straight from the easel. As I do not produce prints, every piece in my online collection represents an exclusive opportunity to own a completely unique original. Each painting features a dedicated studio description charting its process, palette, and narrative origin.

For Interior Designers & Curators

I welcome trade partnerships and work closely with design professionals looking for authentic original art. I supply distinctive statement pieces or cohesive, small-to-medium groupings tailored for curated residential and commercial spaces.

Fulham Studio Visits & Private Exhibitions

Art is best experienced in person. I regularly host private exhibitions and welcome visitors by appointment to my studio in Fulham, London. This offers a unique opportunity to view original canvases and discuss commissions before finalizing a collection.
